Practical training for a thriving culinary career

Admissions

Enrolment into various courses takes place three times a year, January; April, and September, admission is on daily.

Students may apply to full time or part time courses. The prospective student should request for an application form from the Registrar landmark Academy of Hospitality and tourism management, or from the Head Office

The complete application form, signed by the student, guardian or guidance counsellor should be returned to the Registrar.

The applicant should send a Photocopy of his/her educational attainment along with 2(two) passport Photographs, directly to the secretary of the institute. The total enrolment of the institute is limited and admission is therefore competitive. Hence, it is advisable to make application well in advance to avoid disappointment.

The Institute reserves the right to reject any application without assigning reasons. When all admission requirements are met, the student will receive an acceptance letter from the institution.

Admission & Courses

Admissions & Enrolment
Applications are invited from suitably qualified students into any of the courses offered. Completed admission forms, accompanied with two passport photographs and other relevant documents, should reach the principal on or before the time stipulated. Registration fees must be paid before admission forms are passed.

Enrolment takes place three times a year - January, May and September. Acceptance slip will be sent to only successful students. The institute has the right to reject any application without reasons.
Courses Offered and Duration
(i). Craft Courses:
It is a 14 weeks course designed for Housewives, workers and those taking cookery as a hobby. It is practical intensive.


(ii) Certificate Courses:
This is a 1 year course of 3 terms. It equips the student with the basic knowledge of Catering and Restaurant Operations and also prepares him or her for a higher course. Students who pass the certificate class, are automatically absorbed into the Diploma course, if they wish to continue their studies. These students will thereafter spend three terms to obtain a diploma certificate.

(iii) Diploma courses:
It is a 2 year courses of 3 terms a year. Students are acquainted with the management of Hotel, General Catering and the Industrial Catering establishment for practical experience. Student are supervised by the institute's staff.

Entry Qualification:
The basic entry qualification required for admission into the various courses are:

Craft Course

Minimum of First School Leaving Certificate with ability to read and write.

Certificate Course/Fashion

Minimum of S.75 or J. S. S. 3, W.A.E.C., G.C.E., O'level (5 credits), Teachers Grade 2 etc

Diploma Course

Minimum of W.A.E.C., G.C.E., O'Level (5 credits), Teachers Grade 2 etc.
